BIG GAME

Geoff Banks says, “This photo was taken around 1954 in the arcades at West Parade, Rhyl. I am sitting behind my brother Glyn who is 5 years younger. We were on what seemed like a real tiger skin. Next to us is our father Geoffrey who was from Wallasey; he met our mother there - she was a nurse at the hospital. While we lived in Rhyl he was a sales rep for Libby’s canned food and Blue Peter tyres.”

Thank you, Geoff. Now about this tiger, I have consulted Mrs Gaynor Williams, Mr Peter Trehearn, Mr William Ellis and other suspects, and no one can remember the tiger. Anyone who knows where it was should put us all out of our misery by emailing the info to: rhyl.colin.jones@live.co.uk
