REBECCA TREHEARN

Rhyl’s showbiz tradition has produced many a star. For example, we have actress and singer Rebecca Trehearn who is shown above (TOP) in 1986 on her first day Ysgol Dewi Sant. Later she went to Ysgol Glan Clwyd in St. Asaph and obtained a degree in performance at Mountview Academy of Theatre Arts in London.

Rebecca began competing as a singer aged 7 and started her professional stage career at the age of 10. She has appeared in plays and musicals and has made regular TV appearances ever since; she sings in English and Welsh and occasionally performs her own compositions. In 2005 she won the Welsh version of X Factor and released a CD.

In 2005-6 at Pavilion Theatre, Rhyl, Rebecca appeared in the pantomime 'Snow White' with Su Pollard, Andy Collins and Shaun Curry . . .
