Here (TOP) is another Rhyl May Day item from the collection of Rhyl Library. The short-ish dress and rounded headgear worn in 1923 by Queen Marie (Miss Marie Whitelock) reflect girls’ fashions of the day. The styles are recreated in the smaller picture by a recent Charleston Dance class in the USA. Wow, that looks fun!--
