This is a copy of a photograph from Rhyl Journal newspaper September 7, 1950. The caption says:
Photographed above are three charming members of the Rhyl Seagulls Roller Skating Club who will represent Rhyl in the finals of the RAFA “Battle of Britain” Roller Skating Beauty Queen competition which will be held at Great Yarmouth on September 16. They are, left to right: Pat Barclay, 11 years old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Barclay, 11 Edward Henry Street, Rhyl; Eileen Garnett, 15 years old “Queen of the Rink” who is the daughter of Councillor and Mrs. T. Garnett, Wellington Road, Rhyl; and her cousin 14 years old Gaynor Williams, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. O.J. Williams, 5 Palace Avenue, Rhyl.
So who won the competition? Someone out there knows, someone out there will tell me . . .
