At the end of 1920s there was a massive event organised by the Publicity Department of Rhyl Urban District Council, advertised as ‘Sunny Rhyl’s June Carnival 1929’. During the 3-day event various contests took place including a children's beauty competion whose winners appear above . The photo was taken on the final day of the carnival (a Saturday) outside Rhyl Pavilion. The photo is from my own collection.--
