At the end of 1920s there was a massive event organised by the Publicity Department of Rhyl Urban District Council, advertised as ‘Sunny Rhyl’s June Carnival 1929’. During the 3-day carnivalwere competitions open to adults and children from everywhere.
The winners are in the photograph above which was taken on the morning of the final day (a Saturday) outside Rhyl Pavilion. The photo is from my own collection.
