ANTHONY ROBERT MARSHALL

Anthony Robert Marshall was the name of Rhyl's lifeboat 1949-68. This was the lifeboat that in 1962 rescued the Vickers Armstrong
VA-3-001 hovercoach which blew off its moorings in a gale; people on shore helped to secure the VA-3-001 to the promenade railings. Everyone concerned received official thanks for the operation, especially Coxswain Harold Campini who received the Royal National Lifeboat Institution’s medal for gallantry.
