A by-election for the Rhyl town council (Bodfor ward) seat from which I resigned a couple of months ago, took place yesterday. The turnout was poor; at a glance I would say that between 70 and 80 per cent of registered electors did not bother to vote at all.
Pictured above is the winner, Lynette Edwards (Conservative) with 77 votes. It was a close run thing: Cheryl Williams (Labour) had 75. The other candidates were Ian Si’Ree (BNP) 34 votes, and Mark Webster (no political party affiliation) 28.
