Recent acquisitions here at Jones Towers include these postcards.
The 'rough sea' at the top is from Wedgwood Series published by The Photochrom Co. Ltd of London & Tunbridge Wells. The company began producing postcards in 1903 and continued until 1950s so dating isn’t easy. If you were to twist my arm I would say early to mid 1930s.
The other cards were in circulation during the 1920s and feature tricycles on the cycling track opposite the Queens, on part of the prom usually known as Queens Gardens.
The large sepia card calls the site Promenade Gardens (same place) and shows on your left the Conwy Memorial drinking fountain before it moved a few yards eastwards to a position opposite High Street.
