The advert above is dated 1915 and was provided by George Owen. The Mostyn Hotel stood on a corner of High Street and Wellington Road and was in existence as far back as the 1830s although it may have been rebuilt at some time. It would be reasonable to presume a connection with the Mostyn family who were big property owners in North Wales.The colour photo was taken today by Yours Truly in drizzle and shows that the corner in question is now occupied by Boomers toys and gifts.
