TREADING THE BOARDS

Geoff Banks says:
“I lived in Rhyl from 1953 to 1967. My mother the late Iona Banks, myself Geoff (Hughie ) Banks, two sisters Christine and Wendy, and brother Glyn, were all members of the Little Theatre in Abbey Street and later in Vale Road. Here are pictures from the early days of the Vale Road premises 1963-64:

“Shown above (TOP) is a play titled ‘Ambrose Applejohn'. That’s me challenging and brother Glyn, in a frock coat, is defending!

“The second one is 'Strike Happy' a Manchester dialect comedy. Can’t remember the lady’s name; the other person is Vincent Thomas.

“The third one I don't remember the title of the play or the names of the actresses but the man in the overcoat is Michael Grant, a cousin to Carl and Ronald Gizzi.”
